On Sunday, we had the privilege of ministering in three different churches. One group went back to Los Limones where we are currently building the worship center for that village. We held an outdoor service with a small community of believers who gathered to sing, pray, and hear the Word. The other group went to Chiquimula and held services for the adults and children. Later that evening, we all combined together to have another service in Rosario. The entire day was filled with serving Christ and His church here in Guatemala! We all thoroughly enjoyed getting to worship with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!
On Monday, our team was split up again. One group went back to our work site at Los Limones. We labored hard to mix cement by hand, level the interior of the worship center by hand, and lay cinder blocks. It was amazing to see our team bonding to work tirelessly together as one unit. The church is really coming together now and it is so rewarding to see all that God has empowered us to accomplish.
The other group had the grand and glorious task of packing 1,100 bags to distribute to impoverished villages - which they accomplished in just under 4.5 hours! After this, they left and got to minister at the Dump. This is an experience that we will not soon forget as we had the opportunity to feed them a meal. We were all struck by the immense poverty these people are experiencing, but are profoundly aware of their joy in Christ. For some of them, all they truly have is Christ...and that is truly all they need!!
Tomorrow we will be heading back to the work site at Los Limones and engaging in more ministry in other villages. God has been so good to give us so many opportunities to serve Him. Thank you for your prayers for us!!!
Your fellow servants,
The TCS Guatemala Team
