Monday - July 14, 2008

Today we began our first day of VBS. The team did a wonderful job working together and were very flexible despite a few challenges. We had 117 children ranging from 3-13. The team spent the morning teaching their lessons about Jesus healing the paralyzed man. Doris did an excellent job with the missionary story of Hudson Taylor. Jon and some of the team worked together at the basketball court for game time. Nate and Pastor Stephen did the opening time with puppets and singing. Several of the children expressed an interest in salvation and five made professions of faith. Afterwards the girls enjoyed getting their hair braided by some of the teen girls. Keep praying for us that we will teach the Gospel effectively and clearly tomorrow and that God will continue to give the team unity.

On a lighter note, we included a picture of our shower facility at the bottom for those of you who are interested.
