Guatemala: March 11th post

Yesterday was a very productive day for our team! We had the opportunity of helping to build a section of the home of the pastor of the village of Chiquimula. We also were able to paint his church, inside and out. Once again, I am so proud of the way the students are serving together and working together as a team. Anything that is asked of them is done completely without complaining. Praise God for His grace being evidenced in their lives!

The pastor's name is Pastor Salvador. I had a chance to talk with him, and I was struck by his desire to serve the King. He is living out Paul's words of being gladly spent for the body of Christ, even if he does not get paid to do it. He loves the people of Chiquimula and wants to share the love of Christ with them.

We also had another opportunity to spend some time at the orphanage at the end of the day, which was a real treat! The students have already bonded with those children and love them dearly.

We will be doing some evangelism today as well as a village-wide feeding, so we thank you for your continued prayers for us!
