March 20th

The trip went as was planned-no delays-no lost luggage, which is always a blessing. We arrived to WONDERFUL weather, cool, very pleasant evening. The students are enjoying adapting to a new culture. All those students that know Spanish are having an opportunity to use it. They are asking Miss Nice for new words and expressions. Sleep was not an issue for anyone last night. They did not even hear the men snoring. Tracy and Don were sung to sleep by the guys singing in their bunks.
This morning we toured the Hope of Life ministry and packed bags to be distributed later in the week. There is a real team spirit among everyone.
The students immediately warmed up to the babies, children and adults-chatting with the adults and playing with the children.
Your children are not starving. The meals are incredible.
Tonight we attended the church where Herbert (the group manager of the facility )attends. Amy Fowler and Jessica Korn gave their testimonies in Spanish. All the students ministered in song.Mr Foss treated everyone to ice cream after the service
Our evening devotional time was described by Chad Hamel as "powerful" It truly was a special time together.
