Tuesday - Working at the Elder Home

Yesterday was filled with hard-working labor for the Lord!  We had the privilege of serving in the Elder Home, which is a wonderful place where elderly people who have been abandoned come to be taken care of.  Before these people enter the Hope of Life Mission, they have no one to help them.  Many of them are begging on the streets and have nothing in this world.  The people at the Hope of Life have given them a home, food, and a community of other elderly people to live in.

Our job was to paint the entire outside of their dwelling and replace their roof.  On the outset, this seemed like a daunting task, but our leaders, parents, and students rose to the occasion!  I was so excited to see our students take the initiative to go above and beyond what was asked of them.  They even took time with the elderly to do crafts with them and share Christ's love with them.

After a swim in the pool (suffering for the Lord :), we then spent the evening sharing what God has been teaching us and praising God for all of His wonderful attributes by name!  Thank you for your continued prayer support.  We have had a great time today working on the Elder Home and will be ministering to the children at the orphanage later today.

Your fellow servant,

Pastor Stephen
